As a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, one of the societies that exists within the organization is the recognition of "Pi Alpha". This Pi Alpha Society recognizes members that have participated in a summer team event where members travel the country and serve people with disabilities. The summer team events are:

• Build America - a six-week, cross-country construction trip where members build accessible amenities at summer camps that serve people with disabilities

• Journey of Hope - a ten-week, 4,000-mile, cross-country cycling event where members raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities as they travel from the West Coast to the East Coast on 3 different routes

• Gear Up Florida - a two-week, 860-mile, cross-Florida cycling event where members raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities as they travel from Miami, Florida to the capital city of Tallahassee.

Upon completion of the trip, these members are known as "Pi Alphas". I completed four of these events (Build America in 2014, '15, and '17, and Gear Up Florida in 2015). Many members commemorate their trip with a tattoo. These are some tattoo designs that fellow Pi Alpha members had me draw for them.
